However, Intel marketers don't like the term "pseudo-quad core", but AMD marketers liked it. At the same time, each dual-core processor included in a quad-core is made on a single crystal, and therefore is a true dual-core processor, while a quad-core processor, which combines two true dual-core ones, is called pseudo-quad-core. The fact is that quad-core processors from Intel (we are talking about the Intel Xeon server processor family and the processor family Intel Core 2 Quad) have a 2x2 scheme and, in fact, are two dual-core processors combined in one package. Of course, an inexperienced reader may not understand what is the irony here and why, in fact, distinguish between pseudo-quad-core processors and genuine quad-core processors. At one of Intel's press conferences, when asked when it will finally start producing genuine rather than pseudo-quad-core processors, an Intel spokesman replied that genuine processors are those sold in stores, and not those that exist only in the imagination of marketers AMD.
